Course Description:
This course provides an overview of erosion and sediment control (ESC) for typical municipal projects undertaken by municipal crews (e.g., streets, grounds, parks, sewer, water and storm), including a discussion of universal techniques, practices and principles of ESC. This course identifies appropriate best management practices (BMPs) and the Operations & Maintenance considerations of those BMPs.
A case studies section provides an opportunity to discuss BMP installation and removal. This class does not meet the requirements of a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) and is not a certification class.

- Ability to manage municipal construction activity to prevent stormwater related issues
- Discuss techniques and practices for effective and efficient ESC management on municipal projects
