Your time will be compensated at $25/hr. Food and refreshments will be provided. \n\n\n\nLocation: 2336 15th Ave S\, Seattle\, WA 98144November 15 Session: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.November 16 Session: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. \n\n\n\nPlease plan to arrive early so you have time to sign in\, enjoy some coffee\, and settle in for the day. \n\n\n\nParking and Transportation: There are a handful of parking spots in behind the venue\, we will reserve some for anyone with mobility issues\, and the rest will be available on first come first serve basis. DESCRIPTION:ECOSS and Beavers Northwest will be hosting a nature walk at The Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands and Be’er Sheva Park on Thursday\, July 23rd from 7:00pm to 9:00pm!  \n\n\n\nParticipants will meet at the bathrooms near the boat launch in Be’er Sheva Park at 7:00pm. Free parking is available on the street and at the boat launch (8702 Seward Park Ave S\, Seattle\, WA). Beavers Northwest staff will lead attendees on a walk to explore beaver impacts at the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands\, and provide context on the beaver presence at the park. This is a great opportunity to see the impacts that beavers have on ecosystems\, observe the plants and wildlife that thrive in beaver-modified systems\, and discuss beaver coexistence in our human-modified ecosystems. \n\n\n\nThe walk will last approximately 2 hours and participants will travel a distance of approximately 1 mile on flat gravel trails. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and to dress for the weather. For best viewing of wildlife\, we recommend bringing binoculars. We will have a few pairs available to borrow.
