Hi all, this is Lynn, the ECOSS intern checking in. As I mentioned before, I am working on a project related to food access in the South Park neighborhood. One way of looking at food access is to look at the food balance. An area with high food imbalance is a place where the opportunities for unhealthy, processed foods outweigh those for fresh and healthy foods. As part of my work for ECOSS, I plan on performing a food inventory, detailing food-purchasing options, looking at both the availability of fresh, high-quality food and more processed food. I’ve begun creating a map of the food options in South Park that will be available on the internet for those interested. Does anyone have any suggestions of places that need to be included?
