OUR MISSION
ECOSS educates and empowers businesses and diverse communities to implement environmentally sustainable practices. We are leaders in equitable community engagement, working alongside and in support of local immigrant and refugee communities to reduce waste, mitigate stormwater pollution, foster a just energy transition, and promote outdoor access and leadership. ECOSS meets community where they are, providing outreach, education, and engagement that is inclusive, in-language, and culturally responsive.
Black and other communities of color have long suffered injustice in the U.S. As an environmental organization that centers the voices of immigrants and refugees, we at ECOSS recognize that racial, social and economic equity are prerequisites for environmental justice. We must act to undo the systemic racism that has plagued this land for over 400 years. ECOSS stands in solidarity with our Black communities against racial injustice.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, ECOSS has compiled a list of links to resources to help our businesses and communities in these stressful times. Please take a look if you or someone you know needs support.
